Have you noticed? The hot season is hotter, the rains are heavier, and floods happen where they never happened before. That is not just weather. That is climate change.

In 2026, the Earth is about 1.5°C hotter than it was 100 years ago. It may sound small, but it is enough to change everything.

*Why Is The Weather So Extreme?*

Because hot air holds more water. So when it rains, it pours heavily and causes floods in places like Warri, Lagos, and even deserts in Dubai. And when it doesn't rain, the heat dries everything and causes drought and wildfires.

*How Does It Affect Our Food?*

Farmers are confused. The planting season has shifted. Crops that used to grow well are failing because the rain comes too late or too early. This is why food prices are rising.

*Why Is The Sea Rising?*

Ice at the North Pole and South Pole is melting. That water goes into the ocean. For people living near the coast in Delta State, Bayelsa, and Lagos, this means more sea water entering homes and farms.

*What Can We Do?*

- Plant more trees

- Stop burning bushes and fossil fuels

- Use solar and clean energy

- Manage waste properly

- Governments must plan better cities that can survive floods

Climate change is no longer a topic for scientists only. It is about your house, your food, your water, and your business.
