In his "birthday suit," John Cena presents an Oscar for costume design

Jimmy Kimmel, the show's host, built up the joke by sharing some Oscar history, referring to the 1974 Academy Awards, when a streaker sprinted across the stage. Kimmel joked, "Can you imagine a naked man running across the stage today?" Wouldn't that be crazy?

Cena appeared from the corner of the stage and told Kimmel that he did not want to "do the streaker bit anymore."

"The occasion is lovely. "Honestly, you should be ashamed right now for suggesting such a tasteless idea," Cena remarked. "The male body is not a joke!"

Kimmel asserted that Cena, a well-known WWE wrestler, wrestles naked. "Dude, I don't wrestle naked," Cena explained. "I wrestle in jorts!"

“Jorts is worse than being naked!

” » Kimmel said while making the audience laugh.

At that moment, Cena – wearing an oversized winner's envelope over his privates – approached the center of the stage as the audience's jaws dropped to the floor.

“Clothes, they're important.

This is probably the most important thing ever,” he said when accepting the award.

With the help of Kimmel, who then wrapped Cena in a curtain so he was much less exposed, they announced Holly Waddington as the Oscar winner for Best Costume Design for "Poor Things ".

While Cena appeared to be naked on stage, a knowledgeable source told CNN that he "had multiple cracks in his groin and buttocks - and the bandage was taped to him.

" Reason for taking security measures around Cena's private area?

CNN understands that the program must ensure there are no FCC violations.

Maybe now Oscar winner Waddington can whip up something Cena can wear to the afterparty.
