Pollution is the unsatisfactory stop or conditions of air. land and water due to changes in the physical chemical and or biological characteristics they possess. there are accepted condition below which air.land and water are regarded as being polluted. the unsatisfactory state or conditions of the air. Land and water may be harmful to living organisms. pollutant are essentially the by product of man's. activities in respect of transportation. industrial processing and agriculture activities 

there are three main types of pollution-air. Land or vegetation and water pollution.there are two types of pollutants-degradable and non-degradable pollutants the biodegradable or degradable pollutants include domestic sewage which can be decomposed by natural process or assisted in rapid decomposition by special treatment facilities
