Well, one possible reason why the rich may be proud of themselves is because they have more money than the poor! Money can be a status symbol and can provide a sense of accomplishment and success.

But of course, being rich doesn't automatically make someone a better person or worthy of more pride than someone who is poor. In fact, some of the most humble and kind people in the world are not wealthy at all.

Maybe the real question is, why do we often equate wealth with success and pride, and why do we sometimes overlook the value of things like kindness, empathy, and community involvement? Perhaps if we celebrated these qualities more, we would all be a little happier, regardless of our bank accounts
