Whatever we do in life has a lot to do with time; this is more reason why what is worth doing, is worth doing well. My greatest concern here is the category of parents that are particular about money and not the future of their children. They believe so much in their work, which hardly give them a second of their time for their children. They value that work more than their tomorrow (their children). All they say individually is "I don't have time, i have a lot of works waiting on my table, in the office". Tell me what your gain will be tomorrow, if you single handedly ruin the life of your children or be the architect of their failure or misfortune in future because of your inability to spare just little of your time for them. Many children's life have been shattered; many children's hope have been dashed, many of their dreams have been aborted because of the usual habit of their parents, which revolves around they not having time.
Sometimes your children may want to discuss crucial matters with you, which may have a negative effect on their life in future but at this time, you prefer to pay attention to your work than to them. It is obvious that at a time in the life of a child, he or she will need the assistance of his or her parents. But during this time you're no where to be found as a parent, why? As a parent, you supposed to have time for your children, regardless of the nature of your job. The more time you have for them, the more details you get from them and get to know them better. This way, they won't keep things away from you because they will be free to share their thoughts and challenges with you.
A lot of young girls out there have been deceived by friends and neighbours, which led them to the unpleasant situations they find themselves today; some of these young girls get impregnated, even under the roof of their so called busy parents; some are into prostitution and do hook-ups, and even tag themselves hook-up babe on social media.
For the male children, most of their acts are dreadful and bizarre. They get initiated by friends, starting from from mingling with them and end up being introduced to cultism, killing and destroying other people's life. The painful part of it is that, they may even end up being the one that will kill their parents, who claimed they don't have time, perhaps, based on the assignment given to them by their cult groups. You will agree with me that most of the young boys nowadays are into Internet fraud, popularly known as "yahoo yahoo". These boys do anything to get money, even to the level of doing money ritual, and often time, they end up dying untimely. Tell me what your gain is, when this be the end result.
Do we need to blame these children for their misbehaviour or their shameful and dreadful acts? The truth is that many of them have ended up the way they are because they could not get the attention of their parents when they needed it.
It is high time we had time for our children because they need our time. Let's not give more attention to our job than our children. Let's not invest all our time in our business's at the expense of investing our precious time in our children, all in the name of making money. They are our future; so, let's plan ahead of our future by giving them more time because that money we're chasing can't buy time, even though time is money.
