Your Choices matter

YOUR CHOICES MATTER

"...CHOOSE you this day whom ye will serve... as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." (Joshua 24:15)

God is a free moral agent with the capacity to make His own choices and take responsibility for His own decisions. When He created the first man, He also built into him this special ability and gave him the right or authority to make his own decisions and choices.

The Bible tells us that "God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them." (Genesis 1:27).

Beginning from Adam and throughout all generations of humanity, God has held human beings absolutely responsible for their choices and decisions.

God never intended to create robots. His plan was to create intelligent beings like Himself and that's why He gave us the right and ability to choose. He will never encroach on our right to choose neither will He violate our free will.

In our text scripture above, God made it clear that what ever becomes of us is as a result of the choice(s) we make.

Life is governed by principles, and while God will help you to discover the relevant principles you need in life, He will never make the choice to apply them for you.

As a Father, He will guide, but it is up to you to make your choices and decisions. Whether or not you succeed is entirely your choice. You have no one to blame: not even the devil.

Like Bishop David Oyedepo will often say, "if you don't take responsibility for your life, you will die a liability."

Excuses have never made any one great or successful. You can decide to succeed and fulfil purpose irrespective of the odds against you. After all said and done, your choices will make the difference.

Don't leave the decision of your life to others. You will regret it. It is your responsibility. Enough of indecision. Your vote is the only thing that counts as far as the decision of your life is concerned.

"...I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore CHOOSE life, that both thou and thy seed may live." (Deuteronomy 30:19)
