A car accident in Taiwan

Four months until graduation and taking over the family business... 🏭 National gold medalist's dream shattered! Twins killed by cement truck πŸ’” The older brother witnessed the whole thing and broke down: "They did not even have lights on!"

This is so painful... The twins were just a few months away from graduation, the twins  bright futures were within reach, but this tragedy happened before the Lunar New Year. How are the twins' families supposed to celebrate? 😒

A heartbreaking accident occurred in Wuri, Taichung. A pair of 23-year-old twin brothers, riding a motorcycle with one passenger, were seriously collided with a ready-mixed concrete truck making a right turn on the Xinan Bridge. The accident resulted in one of the twin brother's death, and the other twin brother is still battling for his life in the hospital.

What is even more heartbreaking is that these twins were incredibly talented and ambitious. As the children of factory owners, they were not only studying at National Chin-Yi University of Science and Technology, but the older brother was also a "national gold medalist in mechanical processing." The brothers helped out at their family factory during the day and attended classes on weekends. They were expected to graduate in four months and inherit the family business, but their lives were tragically cut short.

The older brother, who was riding a separate motorcycle alongside, witnessed his two younger brothers' tragic deaths and broke down in tears. He tearfully accused the concrete truck, stating, "We were riding side-by-side, and the truck turned right without signaling," causing his brothers to be caught and run over.

On Taiwanese roads, the blind spots and inner wheel differences of large vehicles are truly invisible killers. Especially with the Lunar New Year approaching, everyone is rushing, making road conditions even more dangerous. The loss of a young life leaves behind a broken family, especially the pain of parents burying their children.

We hope the younger brother, who is still in critical condition, can pull through πŸ™. We also remind everyone to maintain a "defensive driving" mindset when encountering large vehicles; keep a safe distance to protect yourself and your family.

Please be extra careful when you're out and about!

May the departed rest in peace, and may the injured recover soon. R.I.P. πŸ•―οΈ
