ARTIFICIAL FUEL SCARCITY
Vanguard news yesterday reported a terrible scenario where a pregnant woman and 8 other people died of auto-crash involving a Vehicle filled with kegs of petrol. This and many other tragedies have happened over these few weeks of extreme artificial fuel scarcity caused by our political elites just to make themselves and their cronies more richer.
The Nigerian government is really taking Nigerians for a fool. Sorry to use the word but these otiose politicians or political elites have no single regard for us as a people. They see us as twenty first century fools whose mentality they could toil with anytime they want to.
This is a country you can wake up the nest morning and all these scums of leaders handling our economy would be justifying the failure of what they are been paid for not to happen. They have justified insecurity to the extent that the whole insecurity in the country has become what has come to stay. It seems insecurity has become part of us and those we pay to secure us are now telling us that we have to accept the abnormal as a normal thing or a phase every society must go through.
Now, it's artificial fuel scarcity! Take a ride to all the filling stations around and you would agree with me that the few stations selling fuel sell it at an exorbitant price, and the magnitude of queues is unprecedented. Queues at our filling stations are now longer than river Nile. Innocent Nigerians now stay in queues for hours, sometime for a whole day without fuel inside their tanks. This has now become the reality of our existence and our so called leaders have the temerity to justify fuel scarcity by giving Nigerians flimsy excuses why we are suffering to get fuel - ordinary fuel. This is a shame of the highest order. May God help my country Nigeria!
