Cost of living abroad eats most of it.* $3k/month sounds big until rent, tax, and transport take 70%. Some Lagos/Abuja hustles leave you with more cash in hand. *2. Your skills might pay better here.* If you’re in tech, content, or run a small business, the earning vs cost ratio in Nigeria is wild right now. *3. You don’t need to leave to earn global money.* Remote work, AI, and fintech mean Nigerians are getting paid by US/UK clients from Enugu, Port Harcourt, everywhere. I’m not anti-japa. If you’ve got the plan, go. But don’t leave just because everyone else is.
