As a young mother living in South Africa, I realized that staying home to raise my baby didn’t mean I had to stop chasing my dreams. With no fancy salon or big money, I decided to start where I was — using my hair braiding skills right from my living room. I began plaiting a few clients from my neighborhood, and slowly word started spreading. I offered neat, affordable styles and treated each client with care. Little by little, I turned my talent into a growing home-based business.
