Many women today remain single because they expect financial support in relationships, a trend shaped by rising living costs, cultural traditions, and social media’s “soft life” influence. For some, love without material benefits feels like a waste of time, leading them to prefer independence over “dating broke.”
Men, however, often feel relationships are becoming too transactional, reducing them to providers rather than partners. Still, not all women seek money—many genuinely value love, respect, and companionship.
The issue is not about all women or all men but about balancing romance and financial expectations. Healthy relationships should use money to support love, not replace it.
