Sleep is very important for the brain, that's is why if the brain is stressed for long without rest of sleep it tends to drop in efficiency, and also apart from the brain sleep is also important for the body because it is during that period that the body tissues undergo repairs. 

Lack of sleep is not good for the body, that is why the doctors advice you spend at least six hours of your day sleeping. 

Sleep helps the body regain energy and it also improves the brains efficiency, that's why you feel strengthen when you wake up from sleep. Sleep is important for every human and even animals. No matter how busy you are find time to sleep because it's important for you to do so.
