Port Harcourt nightlife has been thrown into controversy after a young lady narrated a shocking alleged assault at Black Box Club, a popular club in Port Harcourt.

According to her story which is now trending on social media, she and her friends went to Black Box Club to celebrate a birthday. Trouble reportedly started when a man demanded to sit on a chair that had already been reserved for the birthday celebrants.

When they refused to give up the seat, the situation allegedly turned violent.

The lady alleged that the man smashed a bottle on her friend's head, knocked out another friend's tooth, and tore one of their clothes while shouting that they didn't know who he is.

She identified the alleged attacker as Maduba Okechi Christian, CEO of Ceemore Global Limited. She further alleged that when she tried to record the incident, a Mobile Police Officer (MOPOL) escorting him smashed her phone, while the club staff allegedly helped him escape instead of intervening.

She added that after sharing her experience, she discovered it wasn't the first time women complained about harassment from the same person at the club, but he is allegedly protected because of his status.

The video of the ladies narrating their ordeal has sparked outrage among Port Harcourt residents, especially young women who frequent clubs in GRA and Stadium Road area.

Many are now calling on the Rivers State Police Command to investigate the matter and ensure justice.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the alleged attacker nor the management of Black Box Club Port Harcourt has released an official statement.

For ladies who enjoy nightlife in Port Harcourt, this is a reminder to be extra careful and always have security on speed dial.
