Cotonou Certificate: I spent roughly N600k to get the certificate, I Didn't go to the border - Audu

In a revelation by journalist Umar Audu from a Nigerian newspaper, he disclosed that he invested approximately six hundred thousand Naira (N600,000) to obtain his Bachelor of Science (BSc) certificate from Ecole Supérieure de Gestion et de Technologies (ESGT) in Cotonou. This information was detailed in a report published by DAILY POST.

Audu clarified that he did not personally cross the border for the acquisition of the certificate. Instead, he enlisted the assistance of an immigration officer to facilitate the process of obtaining an ECOWAS passport and a backdated stamp from both Nigerian Immigration and Benin, costing him one hundred and fifty thousand Naira (N150,000).

Audu expressed astonishment at how the certificate managed to pass through Nigerian authorities without detection.

Daily post quoted Umar Audu as saying that, “I spent roughly N600,000. I did not go to the border; I only gave an immigration officer to help me get an ECOWAS passport and a backdated stamp of Nigerian Immigration and Benien, which I spent N150,000.”.
