ELEGY OF PRIORITIES
In the realm of priorities, you once stood tall,
Everything revolved around you, you held it all.
Consideration and liking, I named as your throne,
But doubts now linger, seeds of change sown.
How could you, of all things, falter this way?
I'm not here to question, but to bid farewell today.
For you've crossed lines, ventured too far,
This journey of ours, now closed, our destinies jar.
It is finished, a period etched in stone,
Lest I understand, as I've always known.
Yet this time, the distance cuts deep,
A wound too wide for solace to keep.
Farewell, my once-priority, now set free,
In this final act, we find our decree.
Paths diverge, hearts torn apart,
But in the end, it's a necessary depart.
