SUNGAI PENUH – A momentous chapter for the city of Sungai Penuh: Nindya Eltsani Fawwaz, a student of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh, has been officially selected as a member of the National Paskibraka (Flag Raising Troop) representing Jambi Province for Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day ceremony at Istana Merdeka. Significantly, she has been placed in the prestigious “pembawa baki” (flag tray bearer) formation—one of the most honored positions in the Paskibraka lineup .

Dedi Iryanto, Head of Kesbangpol of Sungai Penuh, expressed heartfelt pride, stating, “We are deeply grateful and proud that our city’s daughter is bringing honor to our region at the national level. Her role as a pembawa baki makes this an extraordinary achievement and an inspiration for the younger generation,” .

He emphasized the historical significance: since the formation of Kerinci Regency and Sungai Penuh City, no female student from the region had ever passed the rigorous selection for Paskibraka National and been given the opportunity to serve at the Presidential Palace. Nindya’s accomplishment marks a new milestone and a source of regional pride .
