Igulu (Mwanamalundi) was born in Mwakabungare village in Kwimba district in Mwanza region in 1846 and given the name Igulu Bugola. His tribe is Sukuma
Igulu had a tendency to wander and it was not easy to find him at home.He was a good dancer (Mcheza Ngoma ) ,he was often followed by a large group of children who stopped going to herd animals and led many parents to hate him.
Thus leading to the loss of many children of those fasts( mamirundi galyo lilihumbura bhana bhise-sukuma tribe ) . People started scolding him by saying that his long legs are dragging our children. thus leading to the deletion of his name and called mwanamalundi.
Mwanamalundi began to establish himself in the dance and gained so many followers that he began to be used as a mercenary army in the war
One day a Malundi man and two of his companions went to a lady to find medicine to help them in the dance activities, the old woman agreed to help them and they went to the forest.
After arriving in the middle of the thick forest, she ordered each of them to dig a deep hole equal to the length of his waist.after the exercise she ordered them to collect firewood and plunge it into a hole and burn it after the fire went out, the lady took the chameleons and put medicine in their mouths and threw them into the fire and they all burned,continuing to be surprised, the Malundi man and his companions saw a rhinoceros coming out of the fire and started chasing them, they all ran carelessly, each in his own way
The man ran and climbed up the tree, the rhinoceros reached the trunk of the tree and started to tear the trunk of the tree in anger and from the moment he came out the lady met the rhinoceros before he even got far and witnessed him tearing the lady to death .After a while the lady came out and asked where your colleagues are, how do you think miracles happen like this, starting today you will be able to do great things if you stretch out your hand people will die and trees will dry up and you will walk on water and many miracles because you have succeeded
He was a man with many miracles until today he left a mark, he was able to walk in the Indian Ocean on water and another one he went to sit on the rock of Lake Victoria today known as Bismarck Rock and left a mark to this day.
