How to over come insomnia (sleeping problem)?

What is Insomnia?

Insomnia is a sleeping disorder that is caused by differnt factors like excess intake coffe which contain caffine, stress, abnormal schedule of sleeping and so on.It is major problem for many people especially for elders and adults.So to over come this problem scientists tries to develop both pharmacologic and non pharamcologic treatment.

Non pharmacologic treatment of Insomnia

*Don't drink coffee/ tea(any stimulating drink) for 8-10 before bed time

*Drink warm milk before bed time

*Have regular bedtime sechedule

*Avoid stress

Pharmacological treatment

Benzodiazepine sedatives like

1.estazolam dose Adult-1mg  bed time

                          Elders-0.5mg at bed time

2. flurazepam (Dalmane) dose 30mg but some times 15mg for  elders

3.temazepam (Restoril) dose 15 mg for adult

 

   The above drug shouldn't taken with out physician(doctors) prescription.
