Today I will tell you how I actually started ghostwriting and crocheting with ZERO capital. No laptop, no support, just my phone.
I'll be giving the names of the apps that pays me well as a ghostwriter but I want you to understand the concept of ghost writing first.
1. GHOSTWRITING - How I started with just my phone
A lot of people think ghostwriting is for big English or that you need a laptop. Lie.
Ghostwriting means: Someone pays you to write a story, and you let them put their own name on it. You get the money, they get the fame. That's all.
You can either be an exclusive writer or a non exclusive.
How I do it with phone:
I type inside my notes app first. No data needed. I write like I am telling a story to someone. I don't use big grammar. Readers love simple stories - school love story, village girl goes to city, poor girl becomes rich. That type.
My first week, I wrote 3 stories 800 words each. I did not know where to post. I searched on TikTok "make money writing stories" and saw many apps. I tried numerous apps I saw on TikTok.
Most of the apps were so strict, I got frustrated.
After wasting my time and data without any good results, I tried going for smaller platforms and apps.
It was not easy considering the fact that other ghost writers doing practically the same thing as me earn over over 500k in a month for just one story and that's just for one platform. Now, imagine posting that same story which you made 500K from on other platforms...
My mistake in ghostwriting:
I thought I must write for the big platforms that pay 500k per story. I wasted 2 weeks trying to enter those platforms. They were hard, they needed ID, they needed you to write 10 chapters for free. I forgot that if you can make 5k in one small platform, and you post SAME story in 5 small platforms, that is 25k. Small money x many platforms = big money.
That is what I do now. One story, many platforms. I will show you all the platforms in Part 3
2. CROCHETING - Quick update
I also crochet. I used my first ghostwriting money to buy 2 yarns at Ikorodu market for N1,800 each. I made a ruffle hat and sold it for N8,000. That is how my phone money became handwork money and my first profit was N4,400. Full story in Part 3.
3. MY REAL EARNINGS SO FAR (No fake)
I will be honest, I'm not rich yet. This is my real journey. Ghostwriting is growing daily (small but real, I will show screenshot in Part 3), Crocheting first profit N4,400 from one hat. I started from zero 2 weeks ago.
