I am in a bad spot. I had a double mastectomy dec 2023, supposedly I was considered in remission April 2024. I was scheduled to have the surgery to remove expanders August 2024 but my surgeon went on an unexpected leave for almost 6 months. During which time I had a kidney infection and had a cat scan finding out I had a liver lesion. On top of that I had some bumps in between my new breasts that were getting worse as time went on so I had then biopsy them. They came back the exact type of cancer I had originally with one mutation. So because of those two things and a pet scan showing multiple liver lesions and a new mass in my right breast my oncologist told me I was now a stage 4 metastatic. She recommended chemo and hormone blockers and said I couldn't proceed with the surgery until after I was on chemo long enough to see a difference. She also stated I'd now be on chemo the rest of my life. So at this time it's now March 2025. I start the chemo and hormone blockers and made it until July of 2025 and couldn't do it anymore I felt worse than I ever had. I'm 34 years young and I have felt healthy until the chemo. So I stopped taking it. I want these expanders out as they are really bothering me and I'm getting concerned as theyve been in way past the normal timeframe. I seen a plastic surgeon 3 months ago and he stated he wanted to talk to my oncologist before scheduling the surgery. He never got back with me. What do I do? I feel like they keep pushing me aside not wanting to the surgery. I want these out it's my body. I work at a senior living place as a maintenance technician and Friday at work I was taking out the trash and I felt something pull under my expander and it's still bothering me. I am so stuck on what to do. Any advice for me? Oh I also am doing other protocols to treat the cancer. I changed my diet to the keto diet, I am on certain supplements and am doing fenbendazole and ivermectin. I'm in process of starting high dose vit c and a few other things like methelyn blue. Id appreciate anyone taking the time to respond with advice, similar stories or anything positive to make me feel not so defeated.
