It feels nice to be in love and to be in a relationship with someone that truly cares about you. Jealousy in a relationship is a good sign.
It shows that the other person loves you enough to feel threatened by other people in your life. The only time it's not good is when it becomes toxic.
If you just got into a relationship with someone, and you're wondering whether or not he's jealous of the other guys in your life, there are certain signs he would exhibit, even if he doesn't talk about it.
1. His countenance changes:
When you two are talking and you bring up a male colleague or a friend, you will notice that his mood will change slightly. He might stop talking, look away, or simply pretend he didn't hear. In this case, he's just trying to keep his cool, so that he wouldn't pass as a jealous type.
2. He asks questions:
As against the first point, some type of guys will actually feel very interested in hearing about the other guys in your life. If you guys have conversations and he always seems to enquire about other guys, maybe by joking around, then he might be feeling jealous. This is actually a good sign that he values you and wouldn't like to lose you.
3. He's curious about your day:
He truly cares about you if he's interested in knowing how your day went, as well as who you spent it with. If he then picks interest at the mention of another male, or he notices that you've been talking about one person for a while, then he could be jealous.
4. He shies away from your male friends:
Although guys generally bond faster than women with other women, a jealous boyfriend wouldn't like to get too close to your male friends, for example, colleagues at work who visit from time to time. He may seem calm on the outside, but the fact that they get to see you for more hours than him is enough to make him wary of them.
5. He checks your phone:
Although many people are of the opinion that phones should always be kept private, a jealous boyfriend would either ask you permission to go through your phone or take it himself, just to convince himself that he is the only one in your life. If you're comfortable with this, fine. But if you're not, it's best you two talk about your boundaries in the relationship.
