Katsina Government has approved the sum of N74.5 billion for the construction of nine new road projects in the state.

The Katsina State Government has approved the sum of N74.5 billion for the construction of nine new road projects in the state. This decision was made during the State Executive Council meeting, where the Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari, emphasized the importance of infrastructure development for the growth and development of the state.

 

The approved road projects include the construction of a 15km road from Tsagero to Gurgin in Funtua Local Government Area, a 30km road from Tambaya to Faskari in Faskari Local Government Area, and a 20km road from Kaita to Dankama in Kaita Local Government Area. Other projects include the construction of a 40km road from Dandume to Dansadau in Dandume Local Government Area, a 25km road from Charanchi to Bugaje in Charanchi Local Government Area, and a 50km road from Danja to Mai'Adua in Danja Local Government Area.

 

The government also approved the construction of a 35km road from Bakori to Bindawa in Bakori Local Government Area, a 30km road from Matazu to Dutsin-Ma in Matazu Local Government Area, and a 40km road from Batsari to Jibia in Batsari Local Government Area.

 

These road projects are expected to improve transportation networks in the state, enhance connectivity between communities, and stimulate economic activities. The government is committed to providing the necessary infrastructure to improve the lives of its citizens and attract investment to the state.

 

Governor Masari also emphasized the importance of completing ongoing road projects in the state, including the Kankara-Kafur-Dutsinma-Baure-Dutsima Road and the Shargalle-Dutsinma-Bawa-Batagarawa Road. The government aims to ensure the sustainability of existing infrastructure through proper maintenance and repair.

 

The approval of N74.5 billion for road projects demonstrates the government's dedication to improving the infrastructure of Katsina State and creating a conducive environment for development.
