I wanted to share something from my heart.
I am a four-time cancer survivor. My first cancer diagnosis came when I was 14 years old, and my last was in 2015. Today, at 54, I am incredibly grateful to still be here.
What many people didn't see was the struggle that followed. After my last cancer treatment, I dealt with extreme fatigue, constant cravings, steady weight gain, anxiety, depression, and the feeling that I just wasn't myself anymore. I didn't feel good physically, emotionally, or in my own skin. There were days when simply walking up the stairs to my office felt exhausting.
In February of this year, I found something that helped me begin taking my health back. The difference has been remarkable for me personally. Just this past Sunday, I walked 8½ miles (pic attached) and still had the energy to come home and clean my house. For someone who knows how it feels to live with overwhelming fatigue, that is something I don't take for granted.
I know every person's journey is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all answer. But I also know what it feels like to lose hope that you'll ever feel good again. That's why I'm sharing this.
If you're struggling with fatigue, low energy, weight gain, or simply not feeling like yourself, especially as a cancer survivor, please know that there may be options and there is reason to keep searching for answers.
If you'd like to hear more about my experience, feel free to reach out. No pressure at all—I simply care deeply about helping others, especially fellow cancer survivors, and sharing what has made a positive difference in my life.
There is hope. 💜
