So I was curious to see if anyone else out there has a story like mine. So here’s mine. So back in October 2025 I had had a little issue. Nothing to do with the brain anything like that and I just needed an outpatient surgery. Was gonna take 30 minutes no big deal. I had my surgery in November 2 week of November, actually I have been overall a really healthy person no issues had surgeries before just minor sinus surgeries. I have been placed under anesthesia and never had a problem but at this particular surgery when I was coming out of it, I ended up having two seizures pretty bad ones. I don’t remember anything from it so they kept me in the hospital for a few days. They ran some test of course that MRI was contrast they found a small P size tumor on my left temporal lobe. They said that it could be calcium buildup. A lot of people have little things like that and it was nothing to be concerned about. So after that I went home I didn’t have any more seizures at the hospital. They said it was probably just the anesthesia. Didn’t sit well with me and I didn’t have anything to worry about so when I got home within that next week I had started having big seizures all over again I didn’t know when they were coming. Several hospital visits ended up in the hospital for a few days. They did EEG they saw a little bit of seizure activity ended up putting me on medication for epilepsy and for about a month. I did not have any more seizures so we thought everything was taken care of until they came back same as before bad ones where I couldn’t remember anything and I would just fall out on the floor shaking at that point they sent me to a oncologist told me that we just need to go ahead and remove it that way we could see what it was says the neurosurgeon scheduled my surgery for March 12 to remove the tumor. They thought that once the tumor rules removed that the seizures would eventually stop and I wouldn’t have anything to worry about so I went through that and then found out that the tumor had been there since 2011. It had grown a little bit during that time and at some point glioblastoma had started.
my oncologist told me that the tumor was completely removed. They did not find anything left behind and it was only 1 to 2% the lowest he has ever seen before. He said most people don’t find out until they are 40 to 60% my never had a chance to spread pretty much as soon as it formed they had it removed not even knowing what it was at the time. But as a precaution and just what they do anyway was on radiation for six weeks Monday through Friday every day chemo pills every day for the six weeks they’re giving me a month break. They’re gonna do another MRI to see what everything looks like and then I will be back on chemo pills for six months five days a month. They have even talked about the optune thing but my oncologist said he wasn’t really crazy about that because I’m only 40 years old and mine was so small that it may never come back but I was just wondering since the doctor said I’m that one percent and he has never seen a case like mine I was wondering if there was anybody else out there like me
