One Way to be happy in your relationship

One way to be happy in your relationship is to be contented with the person you are with.

Comparison is the root of unhappiness, there will always be someone more beautiful, more handsome, more educated, more spiritual, more charismatic, richer, but be happy with whomever God has blessed you with.

Happiness is so simple, just take away comparison and make yours the best, you will find yourself being happy.

Your wife's breast is the best, don't compare it with that of your neighbour's wife, her butt may be small but let it satisfy you always.

Ladies, never compare your husband with another man, don't compare how he makes love to you to that of your ex.

Don't compare the money he gives to you to that of your friend's husband.

Be contented, be satisfied with who you are with.

If there's any area he/she is lacking behind, you're there to help him/her improve on that area.

Some of you grew up in a loving home, with a lovely father and mother, you've never seen your dad hit your mom, you have nice uncles who treat their wives nicely, you have a friend or a neighbour, people around you with a marriage/relationship worthy of emulation.

But, you will rather follow one Instagram influencer or one celebrity, there's nothing bad with that.

I see some of the people some of you call mentors, people you pray to emulate and model your marriage after, in as much as you have a right to model your marriage/relationship after anyone of your choice, but don't emulate someone just because of the glam.

One problem with mentorship is that people will rather follow those with popularity even when they don't have the moral and spiritual fortitude to even lead their own life.

Look around you, there are people you can learn from, they may not be on Instagram, they may not be on Facebook, their life and the manner at which they conduct their lives is enough proof to convince you.

The Bible admonished us to follow them who through faith and patience have obtained the promise (Hebrews 6:12).

They may not be popular, these are people with a strong spiritual conviction who over the time have had proofs and they are worthy of emulation.

Let the word of God be your true standard.
