_Don’t get caught out. Read this before your next transaction_

Opay is fast, cheap, and everywhere now. But a lot of users miss the small details that cost them time, money, or even their account. Here’s what you actually need to know:

1. *Your account has limits until you upgrade*

Unverified Opay accounts have daily and monthly transaction limits. Usually around ₦50k daily.

*Do this*: Complete KYC with BVN/NIN in the app. It takes 5 mins and unlocks higher limits.

2. *Transfers can fail but the money still leaves*

If you send money and it shows “pending” or “failed,” don’t send again immediately.

*Do this*: Check transaction history. If it debited, wait 24h or contact support with the reference number. Double sending is the #1 reason people lose money.

3. *Opay charges are low, but not zero*

Transfers to other banks are often free or ₦10-₦20. But POS withdrawals, airtime, and bills have fees.

*Do this*: Check the fee before you confirm. It shows on the screen, but people skip it.

4. *Your Opay account can be frozen fast*

Multiple failed logins, suspicious transactions, or using VPNs can trigger a freeze for security.

*Do this*: Use one device, keep your app updated, and avoid sharing OTPs. If frozen, contact support with ID ready.

5. *Customer support is in-app first*

Calling random numbers on Facebook/WhatsApp is how most people get scammed.

*Do this*: Use “Help & Support” inside the Opay app. Real support will never ask for your PIN or OTP.

Opay is solid if you use it right. The app gives you all the tools, but you have to read what’s on the screen before tapping confirm.
