Prayer request coming! Many, if not all of you know I have been fighting Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. The fight is not easy but knowing most importantly we have God in the center of our lives makes each day a blessing. At my oncology appointment this morning we broached the subject once again of my back pain. I’m in palliative care currently and we are attempting to control the pain. I’ve realized a life with no back pain is not a probability but we are trying to research every option available to us to increase my quality of life. This leads to the prayer request. My current neurologist has said I’m not a candidate for further treatment in my spine due to the trauma that has been inflicted over the past year.
We have made the choice to reach out to my doctor at MD Anderson. Our prayer is that they have something they can do to alleviate some of this extreme pain in my spine. We are waiting on a call to set up a video chat with my doctor in Houston. I also have a CT scan within the next few weeks. Pray, please pray for some resource available to us so my quality of life can return to a victory!
We have been blessed immensely over this past year during the hardest fight of my life! I said a year ago that “God is bigger than any cancer!” Holding onto that truth day by day!
