Stage 4c (met to brain or brain fog) breast cancer

🗣️🗣️ Attention Mets to the Brain fighters! So the BC is back. Metastasized to the brain causing a tumor. It was on a blood vessel. 85% of it was removed. Next is radiation tomorrow. Are any tricks and tips for "sailing" through radiation?

Sending you so much love and strength. ❤️ Facing a brain metastasis diagnosis is incredibly frightening, but I hope you know you are not alone. The fact that you’ve already had surgery and are moving forward with radiation shows how much strength you’re carrying through this journey.

I remember hearing from someone close to me who went through brain radiation that the hardest part was often the fear before starting. Once treatments began, taking it one day at a time, staying connected with her care team, and focusing on small victories helped her get through those difficult days.

A book that brought a lot of comfort during this kind of journey is “Thriving through Breast Cancer” by Cercie Waldo, available on Amazon. What I loved about this book is that it focuses on the emotional side of cancer—the fear, the uncertainty, the exhaustion, and finding hope when life doesn’t go the way you planned. It’s a reminder that you are still a whole person beyond the diagnosis.

Be gentle with yourself during radiation. Rest when you need to, ask your team every question you have, and accept support from those who love you. Sending prayers and hoping your radiation journey goes as smoothly as possible. ❤️

I have stage 4 metastasis to the liver and brain. They saw 41 spots in January and 0 went I went for my mri two weeks ago! But God! I want you to know there is hope and I believe you will be okay! It is scary to get that diagnosis though! Radiation and afterwards was hard for me because I’m claustrophobic so going into the radiation its self was hard for me. Afterward my face was puffy, sensitive, red, and I had acne like I was a teenager lol. I had to relearn my motor skills (which was harder than I thought), brain fog is horrible still, and some days I just feel spent after it all. I’ve heard others say radiation was the easiest part, so I think it does everyone different. Best of luck to you!
