Woman cancer

breast cancer

-----

💗 The woman cancer introduced me to.💗

Before breast cancer, I thought I knew who I was.

I knew what mattered.

I knew what I could handle.

I knew how strong I was.

Or at least I thought I did.

Then cancer arrived.

And little by little…

it stripped away the things I had used to define myself.

My plans.

My certainty.

My energy.

My sense of control.

Even my reflection.

And somewhere in the middle of all that loss…

I met a woman I had never known before.

A woman who could sit with fear and keep going anyway.

A woman who learned that courage isn’t the absence of fear.

It’s showing up while your hands are shaking.

A woman who discovered that strength doesn’t always roar.

Sometimes it cries in the shower.

Sometimes it falls apart in parking lots.

Sometimes it whispers,

“Just make it through today.”

And somehow…

it does.

Cancer introduced me to a woman who stopped sweating the small things.

A woman who learned how precious ordinary days really are.

A woman who loves harder.

Prays deeper.

Forgives faster.

And wastes less time trying to be everything for everyone.

The truth of the matter is…

if I could go back and erase breast cancer from my story, part of me would want to.

Because cancer took things from me that I can never get back.

But it also introduced me to a woman I might never have met otherwise.

A woman who discovered she was capable of surviving things she once thought would destroy her.

And while I would have never chosen this path…

I am proud of the woman I became while walking it.💗
