16 years ago today, I sat nervously in my doctor’s office with my sister, waiting for the results that would change my life forever.

My doctor looked at me and told me that my tests had come back and I had Stage 3 breast cancer. He promised me he was going to do everything in his power to make sure I would be okay.

Just weeks later, I received another call that changed everything again. My cancer had spread to my lungs, and I was now diagnosed with Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer—a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer.

From there, I began a clinical study that only 10 people in the world were a part of at the time, along with chemotherapy. I completed chemotherapy and radiation, then underwent a bilateral mastectomy with breast reconstruction.

My journey didn’t end there. Throughout my recovery, I faced even more challenges. My lung cancer returned and eventually spread to my stomach, leading to a diagnosis of colon cancer. There were moments that tested my faith, my strength, and my spirit—but I refused to let my diagnosis define me.

Through every setback, I have continued to push forward and live my life with purpose, gratitude, and hope.

Today, 16 years later, at 41 years old, I stand here thankful, humbled, and full of gratitude.

I share my story to remind you: never judge a book by its cover. You never know what someone is going through or what they have already overcome. Be kind. Show grace. Life is precious.

I am living proof that miracles still happen, that resilience is real, and that God has had His hand on my life every step of the way.

Thank You, Jesus, for carrying me through every battle. All glory belongs to You. ❤️🙏
