ABA ~ $30,000 - $40,000
IS Tuition Fees ~ $12,000 - $23,000
Shadow Teacher ~ $30,000 - $40,000
Speech ~ $4,000 - $6,000
OT ~ $4,000 - $6,000
Social Skills Group Classes ~ $800 - $1,000
1:1 Swimming Lessons ~ $2,000
Medical Insurance ~ $1,000
Total Monthly Expenses: $83,000 - $119,000
(Alternatively, consider private special education schools, which can consolidate the first six expenses into approximately $30,000 - $80,000 per month.)
This figure does not include food, clothing, accommodation, and transportation.
Not every family can afford all of the above. Even professionals can only choose a few things, and that's all they can offer.
Many SEN mothers dare not quit their jobs, dare not change careers, dare not get sick, dare not rest... because of this cost.
We all want to provide the best support for our children.
Because nothing is more important than their development.
But, if we miss out on our children's growth for the sake of making money, is it really worth it?
