  1. Thorny Devil

This lizard got its name from the fact that it is covered with tiny horns. Thorny devils thrive in the arid and sandy deserts of Australia.

It feeds mostly on ants that it collects with its tongue. When the Thorny Devil becomes overheated, it buries its head in the sand to cool down.

 

2. Tasmanian Devil

 

Because of its terrible hunting yell and formidable jaw, the Tasmanian Devil earned its name. They are the biggest carnivorous marsupial, however, they are presently threatened with extinction.
