Gamers do you remember this? I know you all do. As a partial gamer from the suburbs of Kenya, I've had my fair share of games in the past till now.
Hi am Scott, and I'd like to share my story. People all around the world are a combination of what they know and how they respond to things and situations.
We can argue that we are kind of a by-product of our environment. The environment can affect the responses a person makes, how he or she sees herself, and relates to the external stimuli.
As a kid who used to be shy at school, I often found the need to have my "alone time". I'd go seat somewhere and just recharge on some video games like call of duty, battlefield, and many more PC games.
I am a PC Gamer and as such, I tend to be more versatile in gameplay and how it affects my judgment and response. It is argued that games have a psychological component to the brain.
The dopamine levels that fuel the adrenaline once you push a button and see your player in (FIFA) running at full sprint speed aiming for the ball to score, is a nerve-soothing experience indeed.
It is also refreshing to see the rise of gamers, especially on Youtube. Unfortunately, there aren't many youtube video gamers from Kenya as we haven't explored the gaming industry yet. There is though some good content created by some of our own and it would help to create a huge platform for the Kenyan video game industry.
There is always a certain way you feel when you complete an objective in any gaming genre. The ability to follow instructions to the latter also boosts the way you handle listening to people, especially in the workplace.
For me, it has helped me be more attentive to detail in any manner. It is like my mind works like a magnifying glass, to say the least. Video games help the brain to relax from external life pressures. I know for a fact that every human at one point in their life has had a bad or traumatic experience. No matter what it is you have been able to handle the situation. Some may handle it well while others will take some time before solving it as we are all different. For gamers, however, I believe it's different. We find consolation in figuring out the unknown. Gamers also have good networking in terms of interpersonal relationships. It can be easier to make a friend from a different country or even continent and get to know one another. At least using the safest and most convenient chat message system that may offer enough security for both parties involved.
Since we are more tech-savvy, it proves more useful in that we can handle also different tasks related to computers and the tech world...
