An ode to the '90s

The '90s, a decade of delight

A time of grunge and alternative light

Flannel shirts and high-waisted jeans

A fashion era that was truly supreme

a woman taking a picture with a camera

The internet was young, and so were we

Dial-up tones and AOL CDs, a mystery

We chatted on ICQ, and surfed with glee

The World Wide Web, a wonder to see

Music was king, with Nirvana on the throne

Pearl Jam, Radiohead, and Foo Fighters, all known

Boy bands and pop princesses, a sweet serenade

We sang along, with our cassette tapes played

TV was radical, with "Friends" and "Seinfeld" too

"Rugrats" and "Ren & Stimpy," cartoons anew

Movies were tubular, with "Clueless" and "Wayne's World"

We quoted lines, like "As if!" and "Schwing!"

The '90s were a time, of hope and of dreams

A decade of change, and radical schemes

We were young, wild, and free, with a heart full of cheer

The '90s, a decade, that will always be dear.
