APC Agent was arrested for buying vote in Osun State.

On Saturday morning in Osun State, security personnel detained Iyabo Adesina, a suspected vote-buyer.

Shortly after the governorship election began, the suspect, an agent of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), was apprehended with a bag of cash while "inducing votes."

The culprit was apprehended and questioned.

This newspaper reports that on Friday, as it announced its partnership with anti-corruption organizations like the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICP), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) issued a warning about the strict enforcement of laws against voter cash induction.

In related developments, security personnel stationed in Osun State to observe the ongoing governorship election have detained a hoodlum carrying charms.

The suspect was detained by the Nigerian police in Ilesha, Osun State's Ifofin neighborhood. He reportedly gave his name as Ezekiel.

The guy reportedly claimed he lived in Lagos and had to travel to Ilesha for work.

Up to 1,955,657 registered voters are anticipated to use their right to vote today in Osun State's 3,763 polling places to choose a new governor in a close election.

The incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party are anticipated to square off in a straight fight in the race, which is being contested by a number of political parties (PDP).

Former House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Lasun Yusuf of the Labour Party, Goke Omigbodun of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and Akin Ogunbiyi of the Accord Party are the other contenders in the race.
