A study of 143 couples found that those who cuddled before sleep had less disturbed sleep and reduced attachment insecurity. However, factors like exhaustion, different work schedules, and individual sleep routines can make cuddling challenging. Experts emphasize the importance of physical intimacy, citing the release of oxytocin, which reduces anxiety and stress. To rekindle cuddling, couples are advised to communicate openly, find opportunities for non-sexual physical connection, and prioritize moments of closeness, which can positively impact their relationship health
