Jackline Anyango Otieno

Jomo Kenyatta, Kenya's first president, was born into the Kikuyu tribe in 1897. He played a significant role in Kenya's campaign for independence from British colonial authority. Kenyatta's leadership and demand for self-government resulted in his arrest by British authorities. After Kenya obtained independence in 1963, Kenyatta became the country's first president, serving until his death in 1978. His legacy continues to inspire future generations of Kenyans to pursue unity and progress.
