The son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Jordan Nyesom-Wike, is under EFCC investigation over an alleged $2.1 million land deal in Abuja.

Two firms, Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited, accused him of receiving the $2.1 million on September 26, 2025, in the presence of two witnesses as part of an agreement to secure 60 hectares of land in Katampe and Guzape, Abuja.

According to the firms, Jordan allegedly failed to fulfil his obligations after receiving the payment. They have petitioned the EFCC to investigate the transaction over allegations including fraud, obtaining money by false pretence and misappropriation.

The civil dispute is already before the FCT High Court in Abuja, with the next hearing scheduled for December 1, 2026.

As of the time of the report, neither Jordan Nyesom-Wike nor the FCT Minister had issued an official response to the allegations. The son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Jordan Nyesom-Wike, is under EFCC investigation over an alleged $2.1 million land deal in Abuja.
