Breaking: Govenor Sanwo Olu's aide die in a fatal accident

On Friday, July 29, a car accident claimed the life of Omotayo Sanyaolu, the senior special assistant to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for tertiary education, youths, and students affairs.

On Friday, July 29, Omotayo Sanyaolu was killed in a car accident. 

Sanyolu struck an ATM by accident while driving his car through Army Cantonment, Maryland, Ikeja in the early hours of Friday. 

Sanyolu died as a result of the collision, according to a statement from Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyantolu, the permanent secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, which confirmed the tragic incident. 

The Keystone Bank ATM in Ikeja, Lagos, was struck by a black Toyota Camry with the registration number LAGH 32 while it was moving at a high rate of speed, according to the report. 

"Unfortunately, Sanyanolu, an adult male who was the only occupant of the vehicle, died on impact, and his remains were immediately bagged upon arrival of emergency responders," the statement read. 

These were delivered to the on-duty cantonment officer (Officer Musa). 

"LASEMA's light towing vehicle assisted in recovering the affected vehicle to a layby." 

The deceased was formerly an All Progressives Congress (APC) youth leader in Lagos state.
