CLASH OF POWERS

Episode 1

The time was 12:00 am by the I looked at the Silver coloured clock that hung above me. Night had crawled in on Earth's ground; the cold absence of a human voice made my room more like a graveyard.

"Aaaaaaaaaaa" was the shout of my wife in pain, struggling to give birth to our expected baby.

"Adamu" give me the car key and open the gate!!, I shouted at the gate Man

I rushed and opened the car, as we managed to put my wife, Vivian into the car who was already at the verge of

giving birth to a baby. As adamu the gate Man opened the gate, we zoomed off straight to PURITY HOSPITAL along Fox road, Aba. Immediately we landed on the hospital, all the nurses rushed towards us as they came to help the life of my wife who was already in pain.

~Few hours later~

I was already walking around from one corner of the hospital to the other; Then the doctor came out and I rushed to him

"doctor, how is my wife, how is my baby? I asked panting heavily

But he told me "All is well, congrats but.....

"But What!!? I shouted holding the doctor's colar

"Calm down Man, be a man and take heart, ur wife died after giving birth to a baby girl but the cause of her death is what we seems not to identify because at first she was strong and healthy but after the safe delivery of the baby, before u know it, she died........." The doctor was still explaining when Mr Mike, the husband of Vivian cried out.

Mr Mike fell down on the floor, tears Rolling down from his eyes. He love his wife so much; It has been like 10 years of marriage without giving birth to any single child, yet he never stopped loving the wife because they vowed never to hate each other, no matter what happens.

As he was crying and remembering the past memories of his marriage life, with his wife, the doctor and his house maid, adaoma Came and were consoling him, begging him to take heart because God giveth and taketh away. Atlast, Mr Mike wiped out his tears as he managed to follow the doctor in other to see his new born baby. Seeing the baby reminds him of his wife Because she looks exactly as her mother; Tears did not allow him as he managed to carry the fair beautiful baby girl, Yet, there was a bit of joy in his heart because he is now a father, his expectations have become a reality but he couldn't resist the imagination of living a happy life with the baby without his beautiful wife, Vivian. He thought of restoring back his wife back to life if Power was given to him to do so but yet, he knew it was never possible. He decided to live all in the hand of God and to move on with his baby girl.

~Some months later~

The burial of Vivian, the wife of Mr Mike was a huge success, As friends and relatives gathered to bury the wife of their beloved brother who has always been supportive to the work of the community. During the burial, Many discussed within themselves that Mr Mike must have used the wife for a ritual cus her death was mysterious according to the doctor's report. Many complained that the consequences of the hidden sin of her wife must have been what caused her death but many said Only God knows the heart of men, who knows if it is not one of their enemies that programed the death of his wife. These never stopped the success of the burial as friends and relatives went one after the other, consoling Mr Mike; Many accused him of killing his wife but Many also stood by him. few days later after the burial, Mr Mike had no any other option rather than to focus on a new life, not minding what people were saying about him.

Adaoma, his house maid was one of those who sought to take good care of the new born baby girl called viana. Mr Mike named his new born baby viana Because she possess the same beauty with her mom, she is fair in complexion and she also has a smooth pointed nose just like her mum's own.

One faithful morning Mike was already preparing to go out for work, then his mom, Mrs comfort who have came for "omugwo" called him to come and take his breakfast first before going out to his office but he refused, explaining that he has an important meeting to catch up and he has a contract to sign, so when he comes back, he will eat, the mum pleaded but he refused and entered his car as he zoomed off with speed.

Mrs comfort went inside the house and informed adaoma, the house maid that she will soon be going to market to buy some foodstuffs, so she will be the one to stay behind and take care of the baby.

few minutes later, Mrs comfort came out with her hand bag and a sack bag as she left the house to market to buy the foodstuffs.

Adaoma was the only one at home with the baby, Carrying the baby on her palm as she walks around the room from one corner to the other, singing and dancing so that the baby can sleep but behold and behold a queen mother appeared in the room.

" Welcome the great queen mother of the Sea" adaoma greeted as she bow down to the queen

"Princess princess princess !!!! how many times did I called you? the queen mother shouted at her

Adaoma is a princess in her marine world, who has caused many death in her village, yet no one knew, she was sent on a mission to the city to kill innocent souls as a means of pleasing their great god, the sea god that reveals herself through the queen mother.

"it's three times queen mother" adaoma replied her

"what have been keeping u wait, why have you not decided to terminate the life of the baby or can't u see that her blood is still fresh for the great god of the Sea? the queen mother asked in an angry State

"I will queen mother but please I need more chance, I want to make this family suffer first before I can terminate each and every one of them, all I asked for is more time....." Adaoma explained

At this time, there was a knock at the gate as the gate man, adamu rushed out to open the gate; the queen mother instructed princess to ensure that she comes to the night meeting by 12:am and she vanished into the thing air.
