You've been learning, you've been practicing, you've been honing your craft and if we asked why you've not taken any step with what you've learned so far, you'll say that you're still learning.

ย

Does this sound like you?

You know, I was caught up in this web for a very long time before I started freelance writing.

ย

After a series of training both free and paid and knowing some of the pros and cons of SEO Content Writing from keyword stuffing to competitive keywords and many others, I still choose to stay down, not until I became tired of staying broke and I was forced to put my knowledge to work.

ย

I started sending proposals for content writing jobs. Prior to then, I already had approved accounts on the various popular freelance platforms running but, I was still doubting my capacity.

ย

After sending proposals for jobs, I received feedback, and after a series of conversations, my gig was hired. I carried out the necessary research, wrote, and edited the jobs, and sent them in for the client to review.

ย

Guess what was the feedback I got from my first jobs๐Ÿค”

ย

"Hello Eliwrites, the jobs you sent in have been reviewed and approved, kindly let us know if you're available for more jobs."๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ

ย

I got a 4-star out of 5-star review for the first jobs that I did and the reason behind the 4-star was because I did not format the articles in desktop mode so it was a bit scattered.

ย

Since then, I've been getting recurrent hires from the same client. Now, enough about me, here are a few lessons that I'll like to share with you

ย

๐Ÿ“ At-times the problem you may be having is not information because you have a lot of information at your disposal. After attending that free webinar, and paying for that course and classes, you are still a learner who has not done anything with the little he/she has learned so far because of fear of the unknown or imperfection.

ย

You become like that servant that hides and buries his talent in the ground.

ย

My question for you is, How do you even know that you're good enough when you're still afraid of putting yourself out and facing scrutiny?

ย

What is your litmus test for knowing self competency?

ย

"If you wait for the wind to always be right you may not sow before talking about reaping."

ย

๐Ÿ“ Feel the fear but do it anyway, it's ok to feel the fear but you don't overcome fear by choosing to stay down or heeding to the voice of your fears.

ย

Can I tell you a secret?

Do you know that I had a lot of fear before typing this article and clicking on the post button?๐Ÿ˜ฏ

ย

Yes, even though I was optimistic that it'll bless somebody. I felt the fear but still did it anyway.

ย

๐Ÿ“ Finally, never stop improving, keep sharpening your saw using the medium of growth that are at your disposal, be it Google, YouTube, Meetings, Podcast, Sermons, Courses, etc

ย

But, let it not be that you're always sharpening your saw and you've not used it on any woodโ€ฆ amen๐Ÿ˜Ž

ย

ย

Let me leave you with the words of Jack Ma which goes: "there are so many people who don't know as much as you but are getting results because they chose to take action."

ย

Start by revisiting those courses that you know you need their contents, review those bullet points that you wrote down after reading that book, listen to that podcast and watch those videos, start writing action plans, and work on them.

ย

To your Growth and Productivity.
