Let’s talk true story — Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr. Many thought when he left Manchester United in late 2022 and signed for Al Nassr in January 2023, it was retirement money. No. It was another chapter of GOAT dominance.
1. THE ARRIVAL:
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr as free agent on 30 December 2022, official debut January 22, 2023 vs Al Ettifaq. He signed 2 and half years deal, highest paid player in the world. At 37 years, people said he is finished.
2. IMMEDIATE SUCCESS:
First season 2022/23: 14 goals in 16 Saudi Pro League games. Then he led Al Nassr to win Arab Club Champions Cup in August 2023 — scored 6 goals, scored 2 goals vs Al Hilal in final (2-1), his first trophy in Saudi. He finished 2023 as world top scorer with 54 goals for club and country.
3. BREAKING RECORDS:
2023/24 season: Ronaldo broke the record. 35 goals in 31 league games, broke Abderrazak Hamdallah’s 34 goals record from 2019. Won Golden Boot. Became first player ever to be top scorer in 4 different leagues — Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Saudi Pro League.
2024/25 season: Again Golden Boot with 25 goals in 30 games.
2025/26 season: The big one — at 41 years old, he scored 28 league goals, reached 100 Saudi Pro League goals in just 105 appearances, became Al Nassr’s record scorer in Saudi Pro League era with 107 goals, and finally won the Saudi Pro League title — Al Nassr beat Damac 4-1 last day, Ronaldo scored twice. That was his first league title in Saudi.
4. TOTAL AL NASSR NUMBERS (as of October 2026):
According to Flashscore and SportsAdda — 135 goals in 159 games total:
- Saudi Pro League: 107 goals in 116 games
- AFC Champions League: goals in Elite and League Two
- King’s Cup, Super Cup, Arab Cup: the rest
He is the only player in history to score 100+ goals for 4 different clubs — Man United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al Nassr. And he is now chasing 1000 career goals, sitting on 982.
5. WHY HE IS STILL THE GOAT:
At Al Nassr, he didn’t just score — he made Saudi league famous. Attendance jumped to 16k-18k per home game, clubs signed Benzema, Neymar, Mane because of him. He extended contract till 2027. Even at 41, last week October 29 2026, he scored hat-trick vs Al Kholood in 5-3 win.
Ronaldo at Al Nassr proves GOAT is not about age, it’s about mentality. From 2023 till 2026, he turned a Saudi club into global brand. Yamal and others are future, but Ronaldo showed you can be successful anywhere.
What do you think — is Ronaldo’s Saudi chapter his most underrated success?
