As I stepped into the church today, all eyes turned towards my direction because of my nicely sown senator cloth that I wore.
I needn't to be told that I was just too hot today.
Â
As I sat down on the chair where the usher directed me to sit, I heard the pastor telling everyone to move out for evangelism.
He told everyone to go and win souls for Christ.
Â
Everybody including me went outside as we dispersed to different direction.
Â
I sampled my big blue Bible as I walked from street to street looking for a wandering soul to capture for Christ.
Â
It was as if everyone has deserted the streets because I couldn't find a single person to preach to... I sat down at one corner to rest a little before I continue my journey.
Â
I was still sitting down when I lifted my head and sighted a man sitting down on the pavement down the street.
Â
I thanked God for providing the soul as I walked briskly towards him to preach to him.
Â
"Good morning brother...Can I have a moment with you?"
Â
He just stared at me and nodded in affirmation.
Â
"Wow...God bless you richly", I said.
Â
I quickly opened my big Bible as I turned to the popular scripture (John 3 vs 16).
I spoke to him about the love of Jesus Christ towards mankind, how he died for us and rose again on the last day.
Â
As I was preached to him, he just kept looking at me and smiling at random.
I didn't read meaning to what he was doing because I was so happy that I would win his soul.
Â
After more than 40 minutes of preaching, he didn't utter a word or ask me questions.
Â
" Brother....Jesus loves you and he wants you to accept him as his Lord and personal saviour", I kept preaching to him.
Â
All these while,he kept looking at my trouser and smiling intermittently.
Â
I was confused but I remembered the popular scripture ( Psalm 23). I was so bold that I didn't look at his body gestures.
Â
After preaching to him, I closed my Bible as I asked him....
" Brother, have you given your life to Jesus Christ?
Â
He just nodded again in affirmation.
Â
Brother, "can I pray with you before I leave?"
Â
He stretched forth his hand towards me as I held him and started praying for him.
I prayed for minutes with him. I was about to recite the "Lord's prayer" when I saw something awkward.
Â
He was in chains!!
Â
I didn't notice it when I started preaching to him at first because he was trying wrapper.
Â
Immediately I saw the chain that was used to tie his legs, I tried to remove my hand but he gripped me firmly with one hand while he used the other hand to grip my Pimpim!!!
Â
"Blood of Jesus Christ"...."Blood of Jesus Christ"..... Somebody should save me.
Â
When I noticed that nobody was coming to my rescue....I changed to my dialect.
"Obara Jesus Christ" ....."Obara Jesus Christ"
Â
The mad man just held my Pimpim firmly as he kept drawing it and licking his lips.
Â
Two men rushed towards us but all they did was to hold my hand and drag me so as to pull me out from his grip!
Â
The mad man held my Pimpim with two hands while the two men kept pulling me out.
Â
I d.ied and resurrected .
Â
I was about to give up a ghost because I was in pains but all of a sudden, he left my Pimpim to pick the #100 that fell out from my pocket.
Â
I was freed from his grip.
Â
Viam! They pulled me out from his grip. They told me how he has been a nuisance in the neighborhood.
Â
Before they could finish their story, I left my Bible with them as I ran as much as my legs could carry me back to my house.
Â
He who runs today, lives to fight another day!
