EVERYONE IS SELF-EMPLOYED

When you ask a group of, let's say, hundred people 'who is self employed among them'. Hardly would you find five raise up their hands that they are self employed. This is not far from the fact that most people have been misinformed about the concept of self employment. Most people think that self employment means that you own the business or company where you are working. Yes! they may be right in the surface but when you look beneath the surface, you would discover that of a truth, every man is self employed.

It doesn't matter who employs you. It doesn't matter who signs your pay check. It really does not matter from whom you collect your pay check at the end of the month. It may be from your boss or you are the one who pays yourself. What matter hear is that we all are self employed whether we acknowledge it or yes! Everyone of us is self employed because anything we do at our place of work, we do it for ourselves. 

You alone can determine how far you want to go in that organization. You can also determine if you would remain in that same level you were employed or you would move to a higher level within a short period of time. Your work ethics, your drive, your zeal, your determination, your doggedness, you decorum at the place of work are all in your hands and these are the things that either keep you stagnant or push you forward in your chosen career.

Start treating you present job not as an employee but as a self employed. Start copying the foot steps of your boss, the owner of the business so that you would be acting the way he does. Do not say that it's not your business - you are wrong. Whatever input you make into the business, it would come back to you in the nearest future!
