The word introvert is normally used to describe an Individual who prefers spending his/her time alone rather than interacting with a social group of people.

An Introvert spends a lot of time roaming about in their in thoughts. They tend to make use of their imagination to a large extent. At times, this set of people may want to socialize with people but they don't know how to.

They like to keep their thought and feelings to themselves. Introverts are known to be more quiet and reserved. They enjoy solitude and they prefer staying indoors. They don't even have many friends.

They don't like social gatherings. They feel really nervous and uncomfortable when among a group of people. Introverts spend a lot of time thinking and they make use of their imagination a lot. They love to carefully examine their thoughts before saying it out. They tend to be very choosy when selecting friends they want to be close with. Introverts are very understanding and supportive people. They are very innovative and creative. They love spending their quality time alone. Introverts are often mistaken for being shy just because they can't interact well with people. They tend to learn from experience. Introversion does not mean that a person is depressed because even the extroverts who are very social also suffer from depression. Being an introvert can actually increase the risk of a person being lonely. They are really attached to their family members and loved ones. Introverts actually have a good sense of humour on the bright side. They can be very secretive; they are good secret keepers too. They care deeply about those they hold dear to their hearts. They keep their thoughts to themselves due to the fear that their opinions might be rejected. Most times, they are not antisocial but rather they want to get to know new people but they love being in their comfort zone

Finally, Introverts love being around people with whom they are close. They tend to think before they speak or voice out their opinion.
