Gas explosion rocks Apapa Lagos

According to POLITICS NIGERIA, a gas tanker erupted on Otto Wharf Road in Apapa, Lagos.

On Tuesday, the incident took place about 3:53 pm.

The emergency response services have been informed, this newspaper has discovered.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service officers are on the scene to put out the fire, and the route is closed to vehicular traffic coming from Otto wharf into Oshodi.

When a fire devastated the Oko-Baba plank market in the Ebute-Meta neighborhood of Lagos State and damaged shanties and shops on Monday, vendors and locals were terrified.

There are usually fire occurrences reported every month, especially in public settings.

The Federal Fire Service (FFS) of Nigeria reported earlier this year that 151 fire incidents were brought on by gas and special services. According to experts, this might cause the economy to suffer greatly financially by worsening the country's poverty indices.
