Health benefits of eating dates

Dates are fruit mostly found from the date palm trees, which is grown in many regions of the world especially the Arabian peninsula. Recently dates have become quite popular. Alot if not all dates being sold in Western countries are dried.

Dates are chewy with sweet flavor. They are also very high in some important nutrients and have a variety of health benefits when used.

In today's article I will talk about the benefits derived from eating dates fruit. 

1. Dates are very high in fiber, which is beneficial in preventing constipation and controlling blood sugar level, it contain variety of vitamins and minerals, including fiber and antioxidants. So, they have high  calories because they are a dried fruit.

2. Dates have many types of antioxidants which helps in preventing the development of some chronic illnesses, such as heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s and diabetes. It is very helpful for lowering inflammation and preventing plaques that forms in the brain, which is important for preventing Alzheimer’s. 

3. Dates promotes and ease natural labor for pregnant women when they are consumed during the last few weeks of pregnancy. They are the healthy substitute for white sugar in recipes because of their sweet taste, nutrients, fiber and antioxidants.

4. Dates have been claimed to aid in blood sugar control, and promote bone health but these effects have not been studied sufficiently.There are many different ways to eat dates. They are commonly eaten plain but can also be incorporated into other popular dishes.
