Challenging Misconceptions: The Resilience of Those Living with HIV

It is scary how people living with the HI Virus are still discriminated against,especially in this era of medical advancements.HIV is a virus that attacks the immune system,it is not curable but it is treatable.It is transmittable through unsafe sex and through blood transfusions,which leaves one to wonder why people living with HIV are still discriminated against.One is able to live with the virus up to 20years or more as long as they follow the prescibed diet and stick to their medication schedule.There are programs implemented to teach people about the virus but it seems more needs to be done in order to eradicate the stigma around HIV.
