HOW TO KNOW YOU HAVE BREAST CANCER
Breast cancer is the most common cancer worldwide surpassing lung cancer for the first time in 2020.Except for skin cancer, it is the most common cancer diagnosed in American women and the leading cause of death in Hispanic women. It is also the leading cause of death in less developed countries.
Breast cancer arises from the ducts, lobules or in the glandular tissue of the breast. Initially the cancerous growth confined to the ducts or lobule causes no symptoms and has minimal potential to metastasis (spread to other organs and tissues).
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF BREAST CANCER 1.Formation of a new lump or mass on the breast-mostly painless with irregular edges though some can be soft, tender and sometimes painful. So it’s important to have any new lump or mass checked by an experienced health care provider.
2.Swelling of all or part of the breast.
3.Skin dimpling, sometimes appears like an orange peel.
4.Breast or nipple pain.
5.Nipple retraction.
6.Redness or flaky skin around the nipple area.
7.Nipple discharge apart from breast milk, may include blood.
8.Irritation of the breast skin.
-To detect all this signs, you must have understanding on the normal breast appearance.
