This is a story of a lady who never experienced loved while growing up
Being loved is the best feeling everyone can experience. Be it by family, friends, or a partner. This is the story of Maria, a girl who went through it all for love but ended up alone, and a single mother of two. Maria grew up in a village in Africa. She was the last born in a family of three. her mother passed on when she one-year-old leaving her and her two brothers with their grandparents.
village life is not the best and being a bright girl, she beat all odds to attain her primary school education. she was always on top of her class which made her known to teachers and villagers among others. she was good at poetry and football. when she was about to finish her primary education, the unthinkable happened. her ailing grandmother died just a few minutes after she served her breakfast and left for school. Maria's life crashed and she took another turn of events, take care of her old sick grandfather and continuing with her education. while doing her final exams for her primary education, she went home that evening and found a group of villagers surrounding her home some crying and wearing. it was then it dawned on her that her only hope was gone. her grandfather had died.
Maria decided to visit her aunt who lived in a nearby center. she was then sent to her far relative for her secondary education. with a lot of challenges, she finished her education and joined the city for greener pastures. this is where her mysteries started. she was welcomed by a village mate who seemed to be in love with her and instead of helping her decided to give her first sexual experience. the man never gave them what she was expecting and within a month, Maria experienced her first heartbreak. being new in a town where life was expensive, she had to survive. she thought that agreeing to have sex with men who said they loved her would end up giving her the man of her dream and start a new family. however, this was not the case. she was from one relationship to another seeking acceptance and love.
after so many incidents, she was having her first baby from a man she later discovered after conceiving that he was married. it broke her heart and the only solution was to seek abortion. unfortunately, the poor girl could not afford it. she decided to keep the pregnancy. being unemployed and pregnant is so hard in a city. she used to do small hand-to-mouth jobs which were not promised. when she was seven months pregnant her friend offered to have her leave in her house as she takes care of her baby, and in return, earned some money for her clinics. it went on and she delivered and went out to start life again, now a mother. she later fell in love with another man who promised to take her in with her child. the man was not only arrogant, a womanizer but also proud. she went through a hard time having to fight with him over women and not providing.
after a few months, she discovered she was pregnant but due to stress, she lost her baby. thinking that the baby was the solution to making the man stop his bad behavior, she conceived again. the man never changed and instead became worse, throwing her out pregnant and with another child. she was homeless again. Maria had no one. she went through high-risk pregnancy but later gave birth. she was broken and realized that she was suffering not because she was stupid but because she trusted the wrong people looking for love. she picked herself up and decided to take care of her kids as well as heal and solve her child traumas before getting into another relationship.
